10 of the most stunning bird themed wallpapers

When you think of bird wallpapers, the first images to spring to mind might be of the old English shabby chic designs that became really popular a couple of years back.

But things have moved on a little since then.

While the traditional styles remain just as beautiful (and do indeed feature in my hallway at home!) they’ve now been updated with some fabulous and innovative modern twists. That’s why I just couldn’t resist dedicating this space in Blog Envy to sharing my personal top 10 with you…

Harlequin Amazilia

I absolutely love this hummingbird wallpaper. Its vintage design and bright background are such a striking contradiction. Ideal for a feature wall, bursting with colour and elegance.

It’s available in various different colour ways; each one with its own very unique vibe, but this one in ‘Gooseberry’ has got to be my favourite.

Lorna Syson Juneberry and Bird

Juneberry and Bird is not just a wallpaper, it comes in many different forms; a lampshade, a cushion, a deckchair, even a plant pot!

What I love about this design is how simple it is; its bold, clean and crisp style. You can see why it’s available on so many products – you’d just never get bored of it.

Matthew Williamson Arini

This is the first of two appearances Matthew Williamson will be making in my top 10 list, and if you do a quick internet search for his range of wallpapers you’ll see why!

This design is called Arini, named after the type of parrot. It’s attention-grabbing and vibrant, and the metallic finish reflects the light beautifully. So if you’re not afraid to make a statement, this is the wallpaper for you.

Sanderson Elysian Geese

Sanderson are known for their traditional, English style wallpapers, but this design in particular really stood out for me.  It earned its place on this list due to its glorious combination of hand drawn artwork and gorgeous dark green background.

I can just picture this wallpaper hung on the walls of a formal study, filled with brown leather furniture and a roaring fire. Perfect.

Osborne & Little Penguin Library

And now for something a little bit different…

This fantastic feature wallpaper from Osborne & Little is eye-catching and unique, perfect for a reading corner or even an ultra-quirky guest toilet. This literally is a contemporary take on a classic.

Kirkby Design Zig Zag Birds

White birds on a black background? Black birds on a white background? Or both?!

This bold wallpaper makes for an excellent talking point, and its flocked texture gives this fascinating design extra dimension. Monochrome not really your thing? Don’t worry, it’s currently available in 8 other colour ways! While it’s at the slightly higher end of the market at £135 per roll (at the time of writing), I’m sure you’ll agree it’s worth every penny.

Matthew Williamson Cactus Garden

When it comes to Matthew Williamson’s designs you must always expect the unexpected. And with ‘Cactus Garden’ he does not disappoint. This intricate design draws your eye in with charming pops of colour, and keeps it there with some beautiful hidden gems.

Such a clever concept perfectly executed. Bravo.

I Love Wallpaper Flamingo

With flamingo wallpaper, I’m a firm believer that it’s either go big, or go home. I Love Wallpaper have come up with an incredible design which will cover your wall with what can only be described as a flamingo-fest.

It’s available now in three different colour ways: Soft Grey (pictured), Blush Pink and a slightly more bold Navy Blue. All three are stunning, and incredibly affordable; on sale for just £9 a roll at the time of writing.

Scion Noukku Barnie Owl

In a break from the normal approach to bird wallpaper designs: here’s Barnie. He’s the retro owl with a bold, colourful style.

I love the clean, geometric lines in this design, and the affordable price tag is the icing on the cake. I think Barnie would look great in a child’s bedroom, or perhaps an entrance hall to add a sense of fun.

Albany Voyage Sana

Back to opulence now, with a dramatic peacock design that would look spectacular in a master bedroom. The mix of vivid pinks and greens against a deep blue backdrop is just irresistible. Three other colour ways are also available in this design, but none of them quite match up to the overall romantic look created by the Navy (pictured).
